Short Description:This Classic 1982 boat is from the renowned Schweers shipyard in Bardenfleth, Germany run by the Schweers family. \\\\\\\'Why\\\\\\\' was the daughter-ship of a Customs patrol vessel & Lifeboat. The daughter- ship was loaded on to the stern of the Mother-ship and launched via a slipway into the water. The vessel is completely made out of corrosion-resistant aluminum. \\\\\\\'Why\\\\\\\' also benefits from being Self-righting. Powered by a single Mercedes Wizeman marine diesel engine with engine hours circa 350 - the daughter ship was designed to be powerful enough to tow the Mother-ship should it require thus demonstrating the power the Mercedes engine is able to supply. The current owner bought this boat back in to the UK on a flat bed trailer, it has had multiple uses being at times used as an advertising product for his business. She really is a striking and Quirky vessel that would lend itself to multiple uses. With side opening hatches at water level it would make a perfect potting vessel, ease of recovery pulling in those lobster pots. When the current owner bought \\\\\\\'Why\\\\\\\' in to the UK she did have a Radar fitted but the Aerial has since been removed. It is available as part of the purchase but we can not verify the functionality of it. The boat is currently stored within the Dry Stack at Yacht Haven Quay Plymouth.
